It’s one of the bigger events in a midshipman’s journey, as alumni, families, and Navy fans across the world get together to celebrate the annual battle. It’s the famed and fabulous Army-Navy football game, a rivalry stretching back over 134 years with more twists and turns than an Agatha Christie novel.

What’s that noise? It’s the sound of your calendar flipping over to November 1st. And while there’s nothing spooky about leaving Halloween in the rear view mirror, there’s something positively scary about heading into the holiday season, the season of lists.

The U.S. Naval Academy reaches another milestone this October 10th when it celebrates 179 years of excellence, which all started on a small plot of land right here in 1845. We salute the Academy that started then and the world-renowned educational institution it is today.
